It does not exist, you will have to use the live essentials movie maker beta which is very limited, but has some new features as well.

Movie Maker beta - Windows Live

this does direct youtube updates, i believe.

I have used a similar install, it was some portable Windows Movie maker that would work on Windows 7. I found it rendered things jittery as compared to the real version of Movie Maker on Vista.

ok just to make my post a little more clear. I linked to the actual vista version installer, so you can actually run it on windows 7. I've tried it and all functions work perfectly.

    Here are some screens:

I have had reasonable success using Movie Maker 6.0 from Vista with Win 7 RC 7100 x64. I just copied the Movie Maker folder from She Who Must Be Obeyed's Vista x64 pc, placed it in Win7's Program Files folder and registered a few dll's using a batch file. Not all the dll's called in the batch file exist on my Win7 installation, but it registered the one's it did find and Movie Maker is working fine.

I'll attach the batch file (change .txt extension to .bat to use, run as Administrator) in case anyone wants to try it.

No guarantees, of course, but it DID work for me.

Can you copy Windows Movie maker from the Vista DVD disk? I have one here or do I have to install Vista to copy it from?

I may just try out your installer and see how it goes :)
