pic viewer issue

    pic viewer issue


    can anyone help with viewing my pics on pc, running windows 7, its a 64 bit laptop and the built in picture viewer has now decided some of my pics folders ect not compatible, all i can see is blank thumbnails, downloaded other pic software still wont open, just says format not supported, not affected all my pics yet all same format all pics used to open now wont

    most of pics are in jpeg, some pics were taken in the raw format on camera but almost sure they are in jpeg now

    I guess I'm not much help then. I was going to suggest getting irfanview, but there's no reason I can think of that Windows wouldn't be able to open jpegs any better.

    If the properties attributes are set at hidden they will not show,
    Check the properties on the general section.

    looked to see if hidden they are not, just cantget my head round this issue at all, seems very odd

    A hidden file will not appear in the explorer, so you will not be able to see any thumbnails at all (if the show hidden files and folders option is not enabled).

    First, you may try a System Restore of an earlier date .

    Then, scan your PC using Malwarebytes.

    If you want, you may upload a few of those images for tasting and understanding the actual situation.
