    Windows Media Player

    Hi Forum,
Looking for help with a "Burning" problem in the above programme.
Using DVD Video Soft I have downloaded some music in MP3 format to Music(Public) folder and then,of course, it appears in WMP.
When I try to burn these pieces a notification appears to the effect "Windows cannot burn this file because it does not know the length of it" The pieces play fine but cannot be "burned". Any advice how to get round this problem.
All the other selections have a time indicated but not these downloads.

Did you get an error code of some sort? Is so, what was it? And how big is the file you're trying to burn?

Hello and thanks for prompt reply. No, there was no error code number just the statement I mentioned. The file is about 10mb and lasts for around 5 minutes.

Trying to put an attachment here ......

Yes, and that is successful. Those files all have a playing time on them in the Playlist Library... the others do not.
However, after Googling, I may have an unorthodox answer to the problem. By going into the File Location of the music I can simply right click the file and drag and drop it into the Burn List. This seems to work and no error reports. However, as I am out of blank CD discs at the moment I shall have to wait until I get some and try this method. I'll report back on the situation when I have done so.
