DVD Flik/DVD Burn Questions Hi All,
I am having trouble burning a dvd using DVD Flik. Hopefully someone has the answer. Here is where I am at.
I own a ZI8 from Kodak. I take video of my baby I am told it is only directly compatible with Apple, not Microsoft, because it is .mov (not certain). Therefore I needed to convert it. (as I was told)
Anyway, I downloaded DVD Flik a while back and had been using it to make DVDs that will play in my DVD player and also ona computer.
However just last night I went to use DVD flick, and when I get into the part where I choose
> project setting
> burning
It no longer gives me the option to 'burn project to disc'. The radio button is grayed out. I can now only 'Create ISO image'.
So my questions
-Is this something new to DVD FLIK?
-Can I use 'create an ISO image' to burn a DVD that will play in the DVD player
-Have I done something wrong?
I am not very tech saavy, and was psyched when I figured out (with the help of you tube tutorials) how to use this. Now I am bummed. I have been using this to make DVD's my 10 month old, and want to continue.
I uploaded DVD flik to another computer and checked it out. The same thing is happening. (Although on the second computer I did not even add and video footage. I just looked at the radio buttons)
Any help on the dvd flik would be appreciated. If I can't get answere on this, then my next round of questions will involve finding another solution.
Thanks,
Mike | My System Specs |

Hi, welcome to sevenforums!
question#2:
no you can't
q#3:
I don't know if you are recording in dvd resolution (720x576) or hd 720p, but you should be careful with converting videos.
You shouldn't convert the video because it is in .mov format. It was developed by apple, but you can play it with windows by installing quicktime.
q#1:
I don't know DVD Flick but you should try to reinstall it or download an older version | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Custom Built PC OS Windows 7 Enterprise x64 no SP CPU Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-2500K CPU @ 3.30GHz 36°C Motherboard Gigabyte Technology Co., Ltd. THX for the input.
I am not certain as to what I am about to say, however......
I believe there was some compatiblity issue whereas I could not Install quicktime to my computer becasue I run micrsoft windows 7. I think there was a compatibilty issue which is why i needs to get converted. Or maybe it was that I could install quicktime, but the disk it produced did not play in my dvd player
Bottom line (as I understand it)If I don't convert it, the dvd willl play on a computer but not on a dvd player. That was my experience, until I used DVD flik, the dvd I produced did not play in the dvd player
Any more help would be welcome.
Thanks for your time | My System Specs | | |

So, do u have quicktime installed by now?
Please grab one of those ready DVDs which can be played on the DVD player, and open it in windows explorer.
Do you see several files (like .vob .ifo .bup) or a single .avi file? | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Custom Built PC OS Windows 7 Enterprise x64 no SP CPU Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-2500K CPU @ 3.30GHz 36°C Motherboard Gigabyte Technology Co., Ltd.
