Printing a specific page in the picture viewer

So from my work computer, we scan documents in as .tif documents, some can be up to 100 pages. When I open it to print, it opens in the picture viewing screen. It won't let me print just 1 page, say page 36 out of 91... I don't want to print all 91 pages just page 36. Any suggestions? This is only happening in the picture printing screen. Help please!

Hi! alisonvz, welcome to 7F :)

From what I have searched, this has been a problem for at least a year or so now. Short answer, it does not have the capability to print only a single page.

How big is your Company, can you ask your boss or IT dept to change the way the scans are saved?
There are third party programs that can do what you want, but, your boss or IT dept will not go for it unless they have thought of it first.

In lieu of that, the only thing I could suggest would be to copy the page into your document program, but then that can get messy with the formatting being changed.

I am still looking, we are talking about Windows Picture and Fax Viewer Are we not? You are using XP at work?

    Edit: possible work-arounds:

    Another work-around that should work:

Do a Print Screen. If you want the page to be a Word doc save it into Word, or if you want it to be a .jpg or other image file, then save it to your photo editing app, e.g. Paint.

Then you can edit the printed screen to, for example, crop off the top and bottom toolbars so you only see the contents of the actual page.

I have found a solution if it is not something you need to do daily, or more that 1 specific page. You could always print screen, however that does make you lose somewhat of the quality of the picture. Instead what I did was go to the single page I wanted to print, and set it as my desktop background. By doing that it automatically saves that single picture to the following destination ( C:\Users\Your Desktop Name\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows Photo Viewer ). From there you can open the picture in any program and print the single image that you wanted printed. Hope this helps
