Windows 7: Have to disable some audio codecs to play video with sound

Have to disable some audio codecs to play video with sound

I have a strange problem with my Windows 7 x64...
Don't know what happened but if I play some video formats with these audio codecs:

ID : 1
Format : MPEG Audio
Format version : Version 1
Format profile : Layer 3
Mode : Joint stereo
Mode extension : MS Stereo
Codec ID : 55
Codec ID/Hint : MP3

ID : 1
Format : AAC
Format/Info : Advanced Audio Codec
Format profile : LC
Codec ID : 40

I can't hear sound with WMP12 x86 (only WMP, other bare players using system codecs can!).
The strange thing is that if I disable those AAC + MP3 L3 codecs with the NirSoft's InstalledCodec tool I get sound back and working ALSO with WMP12!

How can it be? What's the logic: disabling those codecs I can play those formats with audio using WMP12, but enabling them I loose the sound?

Thanks for helping...
