    Can`t play 1080p!

Hi. I recently bought an ASUS laptop with this configuration: AMD Brazos Dual Core E350, 2GB ram memory which 1.6GB are usable and I guess that the rest it's for video and AMD Radeon HD 6310M graphic card, but i can't play 1080p movies. I have read some reviews and it says that can play smoothly 1080p movies...and i wonder why this isn't work. Hope someone could help me.

AMD E-350 / Radeon HD 6310 has good benchmarks for HD playback. More often than not it is the source video which is responsible for less than perfect playback. What exactly is your source video and wherefrom did you get it?

I would suggest that you google search and download good HD sample videos from authentic websites and play them. This will help you decide wether the problem is in the source material or your machine.

The video is a movie...about 10GB size...but I tried other movies in 1080p about the same size and still can`t play. I downloaded them from a tracker. I must say 720p works perfectly...and 1080p videos from youtube the same. It's really getting on my nerves because I know movies we're supposed to play perfectly...as you said.

Good to know that a change of player did the trick. But I think Splash Pro is only a 15day trial. (Hmmm.... I should have asked how you play your HD content.:) )

You may try the Daum Pot Player which is freeware. Have a look at my thread here .

Just curious to find out how Splash Pro media player works, installed and tried it. Well, to my chagrin I found out that it can only open files and folders and cannot play the DVDs and BDs from the optical drives. Not my cup of tea. Uninstalled it.

It is OK only if you want to play from your HDD and not any video discs from your optical drive/s.
