Windows Media Player always displays album art No matter the visualization I have selected (Even no visualization ), whenever I open WMP the album art appears.
Is there any way to stop this? Many of my songs don't have album art, so instead the big music note is displayed. | My System Specs |

Yes. That was the first thing I did.
Only way I can get it off is to re-check "no visualization" wheneverI open it, even if it is already selected | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Myself OS XP, 7 32/64bit CPU i5 2500k, various Motherboard Gigabyte ga z68xp-ud3 Memory Enough Graphics Card 560 Hard Drives Far too many to keep track of Internet Speed Faster than yours, maybe. |

As far as I know, visualisation has nothing really to do with the album art - its the fancy wavy lines that show when sound is played back.
Have you checked the following in the options? | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Toshiba Satellite L500 OS Windows 7 Home Premium x64 OEM --> RTM clean install CPU Intel T4400 Motherboard ? - laptop inbuilt ? i suspect the only way not to have the album art showing is to not have albumart, delete or put in a separate folder in the root folder of the album ,if its embedded albumart then use mp3tag to remove the embeded art. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Hewlett packard/p6512uk OS Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit 7600 CPU IIx4 amd athelon 635 processor Motherboard FOXCONN 2AA9 Memory 2x2gb Graphics Card ati radeon HD 5450 Sound Card (1) Realtek High Definition Audio (2) AMD High Definition Monitor(s) Displays samsung lcd tv 32" Screen Resolution 1360x 768 Keyboard wireless hp Mouse wireless Hp,optical PSU ? The album art is hidden as part of the "protected operating system files".
Go to
Organize > Folder and search options > View
Uncheck Show hidden files, folders, and drives
Uncheck Hide protected operating system files (Recommended)
You'll have to delete the album art from each folder that has it, for it to be totally removed from WMP.
You may want to clear the library of all the music and restart WMP once you're done. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Self-built OS Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit CPU Intel Core i7-3770 Motherboard MSI Z77A-G45 Memory G.SKILL 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3 F3-10666CL9D-8GBNT Graphics Card Sapphire ATI Radeon HD 6670 Sound Card On-Board Realtek Monitor(s) Displays Samsung SyncMaster P2370HD, Dell 1703FPT Screen Resolution 1920 x 1080, 1280 x 1024 Keyboard Logitech K270 Mouse Logitech M705 PSU SeaSonic M12II SS-500GM Case Lian Li PC-9F Cooling Zalman CNPS9900ALED Hard Drives Samsung HD103SJ Internet Speed 16 Mbps Other Info Bose Companion 2 Multimedia Speakers |

Deleted album art, but instead of displaying "nothing", as in no visualization, it displays the "no art" image | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Myself OS XP, 7 32/64bit CPU i5 2500k, various Motherboard Gigabyte ga z68xp-ud3 Memory Enough Graphics Card 560 Hard Drives Far too many to keep track of Internet Speed Faster than yours, maybe. |
