How do I reinstall WMP 12?

Every time I rip a CD album I cannot add the album info & the album disappears off the the player once I've shut it down. Also an auto playlist I created a while back has stopped work & I can't delete it. I'm thinking I need to reinstall the player.

reset by default SETTINGS WMP 12

    Start>>>Run>>TYPE THIS >>>>msdt.exe -id WindowsMediaPlayerConfigurationDiagnostic

    FOLLOW INSTRUCTIONS

AND THE END JUST CLICK CLOSE TROUBLESHOOTING, THAT'S IT.

you have to delete the registry key. regedit, open
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE > SOFTWARE > Microsoft > MediaPlayer

DELETE THE WHOLE REGISTRY KEY FOLDER

Do the same for HKEY_CURRENT_USER > SOFTWARE > Microsoft > Media Player and HKEY_USERS

Then reboot, it should ask if you want to reinstall it..... that was my fix

This will cause Vista to look for it when you reboot i think is what happens & when its not there it asks you to fix it....

Thanks to both of you, your help was muchly appreciated. Uninstalling, Reinstalling had no effect...Has anyone else had problems with WMP 12 not adding Songtitles, Artist info etc?? It used to do it automatically, it would even do it manually now for me
