Not unless there is an adapter that can be had to connect it to your machine.

Smart Chips are small cards that are inserted into phones that help in communication with the network. An alternative name for "Smart Chip" is a SIM (Subscriber Identity Module) card.
AT&T Wireless- What is a SIM card?

Your smartchip is very handy when the time comes for you to upgrade to a newer phone. If it is compatible with your new phone all the
provider has to do is swap out the cards, but in my experience the provider will just use their proprietary card readers to transfer your information from your old phone to the new.

They remove the card from your old phone, place it in their reader.
The reader copies/saves the information.
Then they place the new phone's SIM card into the reader, and download the information onto it.
Then place it into your new phone, and off you go.

I would be careful with that SIM card or you could 'brick' your phone.

I had installed some phone software that was on the XP machine. When I fired up the XP machine & hooked up the phone, I was able to transfer the pics from the phone to the pc, no problem.
I installed the phone software on to the W7 pc.
Why doesn't this software work on my W7 machine?
Thanks

You say you installed some phone software on your XP machine so obviously unless you install the same software on your Windows 7 the phone WON'T work on it - which it currently doesn't.

Try installing it on your Win 7 computer in compatibility mode for Windows XP.

The SIM card contains the software to enable your phone to work with whichever call package and provider you've chosen.

If the information is tampered with in any way, it will most likely leave you unable to use the phone.

I tried looking around for compatibility mode, but nothing.
How do I get into compatibility mode?

Right-click the .exe file for the software and choose Properties then click the Compatibility tab.

Enable the option then choose an option for Windows XP in the drop-down list.

Did that, no luck. I think the driver is the problem.
What do you think?
