Web Cam question

Hello folks this is my first post, (hope im posting this in the right place)

I have a small issue, i have a logitech webcam, i want to turn it into a security cam, is there any good programs out there either free or not that will allow me to set this thing so it will capture video when motion is detected and also have it save it to my second slave hardrive.

Thanks in advance

No answer ??? How about a way to even use this web cam ... I know in windows xp I could just go to "my computer" or "devices and printers" (I don't remember which one ) and it would pop up and start showing and it could also take a pic... But on windows 7 I got to devices and printers and I see it but there is no option to use it like in xp ... Please help

Thanks
