Help i need my mic to work.

I have a acer aspire 8730-6951 and in vista the mic works but in windows 7 is does not, the microphone is intergrated with the camera, but the camera works, just no audio recording....

im sorry its not audio, i meant i cant use my microphone.

yeah your microphone is an audio function. and you are going to need a driver for it. Is your os 323 bit or 64?

It only lists Vista32/64. So you may need to run installer in Vista64 compatibility mode

Have you gone into control panel>sounds and checked to see if your microphone is enabled and not muted in mixer?

A lot of the ... Analog Devices ... SoundMAX integrated microphones simply don't work in Windows 7. And likely won't until the manufacturers pressure Analog Devices for a driver update.

I haven't made the integrated mics work on any of the HP laptops we support.
