Skydrive Won't Allow Me To Send Photo

Apparently I recently downloaded an update that now forces me to use Skydrive when sending photos from my camera software, as well as explorer, etc.. I can successfully send photos by inserting them in an email. However, I need the camera software to downsize the file for me. It was working so well prior to this disaster. Is there a way to disable Skydrive or do I need to purchase another mail client such as Outlook?

The error message that I am getting is:

Delete the photo email, create a new one, and try to send it again.

    Server: 'smtp.mail.yahoo.com'
Windows Live Mail Error ID: 0x8CCC0003
    Protocol: SMTP
    Port: 25
    Secure(SSL): No

I did delete the email (many times) and also registered for a user ID.

Thank you very much, Pebbly! I did try the instructions given by R Fernandez, and was able to send downsized photo's. At least it's a work around until I can evaluate the possibility of using another mail client.

Try to put the Photos into a Zip folder. Maybe that works.
