WMP no sound?

Hi there,

I installed VLC player because it was meant to play Blu-Ray's (it doesn't).

Since the sound on WMP is screwed up?

When I open a DVD and you get the fox title screen you hear the sound perfectly. However in the main feature you don't hear anything (except when you turn the sound right up and then you can only heair it very faintly).

I can still hear sounds from youtube etc, so it is just WMP.

Can soemone explain to me how to fix?

Thanks

Baz

if it is a very recent change then its probably worth doing a system restore. and see if that helps.

Thanks for this.

Tried it but only got a small improvement.

Bizzarely now I get perfect sound on the menu screen of the DVD, but the actual firm itself still has very low volume and sounds muffled?

Go to Control Panel | Sound, and check the speaker configuration under your active device.
