I accidently deleted My Videos folder and emptied recyble bin Ok so I accidentally deleted the my videos folder, not the public but the one in c:\users\ahmed and I tried to recover but it doesn't look right compared to all my files.
I found out the new videos file i manage to create is a library file and it doesnt have the right icon compared to the one I deleted.
My music file is a file folder and has the right icon
Is there any way I could get the my videos folder back instead of this library one
thanks
im on windows 7 btw
ill upload some screen shots so you can see how the properties look like compared to the new video folder and the my music folder. | My System Specs |

The easiest to try is a System Restore. Tutorial if needed.> System Restore
Pick a date and time before you deleted to restore from.
It should put everything back as it was. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Hopalong/ Godzilla OS Windows7 Pro 64bit SP-1; Windows XP Pro 32bit CPU Intel Core i7-870 Lynnfield 2.93GHz LGA 1156 95W Quad-Core Motherboard ASUS P7P55D-E PRO Memory 8GB@1400MHz Crucial Ballistix DDR3-1600 4x2GB Graphics Card ASUS ENGTX460 DirectCU/2DI/1GD5 1GB 256-bit GDDR5 Sound Card VIA Onboard Monitor(s) Displays Asus VS248H-P 24"; Samsung SyncMaster 941BW 19"ws Screen Resolution 1920x1080; 1440x900 Keyboard Logitech K-320 Mouse Kensington PSU COOLER MASTER Silent Pro RS850-AMBAJ3-US 850W Modular Case COOLER MASTER HAF 932 RC-932-KKN5-GP Black Cooling Scythe "Mugen-2 Rev.B" (2 ScytheKaze-Jyuni PWM fans) Hard Drives Samsung 830 120GB SSD

hi all
also its worth mentioning a file recovery program called Recuva by piriform >>> Recuva - Undelete, Unerase, File and Disk Recovery - Free Download Quote: Undelete files on your computer
We've all deleted files by mistake, or without realizing we'd want them at some future point. Photographs, documents, music files, even emails - we've all had regrets. With Recuva, you can get them back quickly, safely, and easily. This compact Windows program does the work for you, scanning your drives for the files you need, then recovering them in a flash.
Recuva works on any rewriteable media you have. Whether you need to recover priceless photographs from your digital camera's memory card, files you backed up to an external hard drive, or the documents you carry around every day on your USB key, Recuva's got you covered. For prosumer and pro photographers, Recuva supports the Nikon RAW and Canon RAW (.CRW) formats.
If you listen to music on an iPod, Recuva can recover files directly from the iPod's drive. Even though you can't access files on your iPod directly, Recuva can. You don't have to worry about losing music from iTunes or your iPod any more. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number packard bell IXTREME M5722 OS Operating System : Windows 7 Home Premium Edition 6.01.7600 SP1 (x64) CPU Processor : Intel Core 2 Quad Q8300 @ 2500 MHz Motherboard Mainboard : Packard Bell (Acer EG43M ) Memory Physical Memory :8GB Corsair4x 2GB 800MHz C5 DDR2 Graphics Card Video Card : XFX 6700 AMD Monitor(s) Displays Maestro 234DL - BenQ V2220 - BenQ VW2420H Screen Resolution Current Display :1920x1080p pixels at 60 Hz in HD LED Keyboard Gigabyte Aivia K8100 Mouse TRUST-Wireless Laser Mouse - Carbon edition MI-7770C PSU XFX ProSeries 550W PSU Case PACKARD BELL IXTREME Cooling System Blower Current: 150mA Air Flow16CFM ;Akasa 90mm rear Hard Drives Hard Disks : WDC (1000 GB)

Yellow circled Restores users files also. Good deal. Thank you Mike. I never looked at this option for a variety of reasons
1. My data is always on a seperate data partition
2. I rely 100% on my images - although I do allow restore points on my data partitions (for extra safety)
3. I have no shadowstorage on my OS partitions because they are all on SSDs where space is at a premium | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number HP, Dell, Gateway, Toshiba - 4 laptops and 2 desktops OS Vista, Windows7, Mint Mate, Zorin, Windows 8 CPU from 1.6GHz Duo to i7 Monitor(s) Displays 2x HP w2207 Keyboard with trackball - no mices Mouse Trackball mice Hard Drives 5x HDD, 7x SSD, 12x Externals Internet Speed DSL 6000 I accidently deleted My Videos folder and emptied recyble bin problems?
