Windows Media Player 12 Track Information
Apologies if this has been asked here before, but every Google I do leads me to no answers.
I'm having trouble making Windows Media Player 12 keep the track information I provide it with. This has been a problem with every single version of WMP I've used, and was previously fixed by the Advanced Track Editor (which, as we all know, isn't in WMP12 for some unknown reason).
Basically, my problem is as follows:
I want to group all of my Devin Townsend music (including Devin Townsend Project, Devin Townsend Band, etc) under the name "Devin Townsend" for both Album Artist and Contributing Artist. For the most part, this has been fine, but for some reason, WMP12 keeps changing 9 tracks from a Devin Townsend Band album back to their original artist name, which is incredibly annoying (especially as it further splits those between "The Devin Townsend Band" and "Devin Townsend Band", as well as changing the genres from "Progressive Metal" back to "Metal").
Any help would be greatly appreciated with this, as it's not just my Devin Townsend music that is constantly being changed.
