    Looking for a tip

OK, can anybody recommend a FREE photo editing software that will give me more versatility than IRFANVIEW. I would like to be able to put different faces on different photos and that sort of stuff. Also when my mate sends me a photo of his latest fish catch, I would like to make his fish look more like a minnow, Do you get my drift?

Try This. Paint.NET - Free Software for Digital Photo Editing
There are lots of Effect Plugins for it here. Paint.NET Forum -> Plugins - Publishing ONLY!

Too slow on the button again.

Of the two Paint.NET is the simpler to use and Gimp has the more features. Why not download both and see which suits you best.

Photoshop Elements is often given away with printers or scanners and although nowhere near the functionality of full-blown Photoshop it can do stuff like that.
