Windows 7 - How do I burn a group of .jpgs to a blank DVD to play on a DVD player.

I have a lot of photos on my hard drive. I would like to burn a DVD with these photos and use that DVD in a Sony DVD player hooked up to my TV. What are the steps I take to burn the DVD? So far I seem to be getting DVDs which will show up on my other computers but not be DVD player.

Click the TV show, other videos, music, or pictures that you want to add to your disc so that a check mark appears on the selected digital media files, and then click Next.
If you want to add more files to the disc, on the Review & Edit List screen, click Add More.
Repeat steps 5-7 until you have added all the digital media files to the disc that you want to burn.
After you have added all the files that you want to burn, on the Review & Edit List screen, click Burn DVD or Burn CD.
In the Initiating Copy notification, click Yes.
After the disc is burned, in the Completing Disc Creation notification, click Done.

Will this play on my DVD player connected to the TV? I have successfully burned discs for use on my other computers.

Chances are they do not play with a DVD player. I am not 100% sure if it comes from Media Center, but I know the ones you burn with the movie makers do not play on DVD players - only on the PC.

The safe way to do that is to make a picture show with e.g. Windows Live Movie Maker - you can even add music and/or comments. Convert the resulting file from .wmv to .avi using Format Factory. Reason for that step is because the next excellent program cannot process .wmv.

Now burn this .avi file to DVD using DVD Flick which gives best results.

Sounds a bit complicated, but is really easy once you are in it. And you get best results.

You can burn pics to a dvd that will play on any dvd player as a slide show, and add background music. The program I use is DVDStyler Portable If you need to change default viewing time from 6 seconds, you will need to install it, as the portable version crashes. If not, its picture quality is excellent.
