WMP12 library keeps track of moved files

On my media center I have some music and some pictures that I don't want to listen or see.
Therefore I created two new folders:"Music outside of library" and "Pictures outside of library" and made sure these are not included in the library.

Now I have moved quite a number of files there, but they are still in my Windows Media Library! Even after moving them to another disc. The strange thing is: if I lookup the properties of the file in WMP12 it points to the NEW location!

Worst case would be to actually remove the files, but I don't like that because I am using my mediacenter as backup as well.

How can I move files and folders outside of the library without the library still knowing of them?
