Format Factory saves the files in a folder called "FFOutput" which you find in Documents.

If it did the conversion, the file should be there, else it would say "Fail to decode" (see picture) in which case the input file is no good.

I thought I was going to work, when I pressed start it said "convert failed".

That means your input file is no good. Can you get another one - maybe from another source.

I tried several other website and they all give me the same error. Is there a way to test my media player to see if that is the problem or maybe I cannot download to my phone, I dont know.

I doubt it is the media player. But try VLC - that is very robust Download VLC Media Player 1.1.11 - FileHippo.com

I am so sorry, I got to thinking maybe it was my phone and.......it was! They had to unblock something to allow the internet to download stuff. I am so sorry to bother you. Thanks.

No problem. It is easy to overlook a little detail.
