I had nothing but problems with WMP 12.

The file is apparently corrupted. try to convert (fix) it from mp3 to mp3 with this program. If it converts, it may work. If it does not convert, the file is no good. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number HP, Dell, Gateway - 2 laptops and 2 desktops OS Vista and Windows7, sometimes Ubuntu and Fedora CPU from 1.6GHz Duo to 2.5GHz Quad Monitor(s) Displays 2x HP w2207 Keyboard with trackball - no mices Mouse terrible devices, who wants them Hard Drives 5x HDD, 2x SSD, 6x Externals Internet Speed DSL 6000 |

That was a nice clear tutorial. I saved the file, but then when I went to browse, I couldn't find it. I opened the folder it was in, but didn't show it to me. I wonder if I just cannot download ringtones to my phone. Is there a way to test media player to see if it works under other circumstances? You don't know me, but I am a novice to all this computer stuff.
