WMP12: Streaming Audio to Naim NDX no longer works
It's been a long weekend spent getting WMP server to work with my NDX.
It used to communicate OK. I downloaded to apps to make FLACs available and since then I can't stream to the NDX.
I downloaded MP3Tag to get WMP12 to see my albums correctly, although you still have to go through a lot of the albums to get cover art and the correct songs. Xiph supplied the FLAC Codecs.
I now have the FLAC files showing on both n-stream control application and WMP12. The problem now is that it won't actually play them. When I try to play them from either n-stream or Play To... on WMP the song just tries to connect for ever. I seem to have the server on and can not work out what the problem might be. I've checked and streaming is on, the firewall does not seem to be an issue as it does not work even with Windows Firewall switched off and it shows as an acceptable program in the firewall dialogue.
I just tried playing a couple of non FLAC files that were on the system. They worked perfectly. I have also removed the FLAC codec and Tagger for now. I'm using 64 bit & 32 bit WMP and neither seem to play FLAC over the stream - though it worked locally. Any suggestons of alternative codecs?
Any help getting it to work would be appreciated.
