    Windows Photo Viewer

Eventhough I have MS Office Picture Manager set as the default to open JPG files, when I click on the images file it opens with PhotoViewer (which would be OK if I was able to do even the more basic of editing.)

I have not come across an instance of ever wanting to chose PhotoViewer for anything image related. Is there a way to remove it entirely?

    Hi,
follow these simple steps to change default program for JPG files:

    1. right click on your JPG file
    2. mouse over "open with"
    3. then mouse over "choose default program"
    4. now select the program from dialog box list
-if program is not on that list use "browse button" to locate your program
-make shore you check "alway use selected program to open this kind of file" box
    5. now click OK

if you want to uninstall windows PhotoViewer future in windows 7 delete following registry key:
    HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT/SystemFileAssociations/image/ShellEx/ContextMenuHandlers
(as always, make shore you make backup before)

    cheers!
