Location of "New Scan" app .exe

I hope this is the right place to post. I'm hoping to find the location of the "New Scan" exe for multi-function printers. I'm not sure if it is related to the Windows Fax and Scan wizard but I have a Canon multi-function printer installed and I can go into Devices and Printers and right click on the Canon's icon and get the option for a New Scan. This handy little app resembles the Camera/Scanner wizard from XP. I want to add this function to my USB hub networking program so it will automatically open the New Scan app when my shared printer is connected but I can't find the .exe for the New Scan accessory. anyone know where the exe file for this app is? I hope I haven't been too confusing here. Thanks for any help anyone can give.

Hi, welcome to the forums.

Most canon software will be installed in "Program Files\Canon" from here there should be several EXE files, 1 of which should be named scan(ish). You may also want to check in "Program Data" (with hidden files and folders shown).
