    Can't delete a jpg file

I can't delete a jpg file from our computer. The issue is that we can't even click on the file w/o it freezing the computer. I noticed the problem because I tried to run a defrag and virus check but both get stuck on this same file. I can't right click on it or even drag a box over it w/o the computer freezing. Any suggestions? Thank you.

Maybe try booting to "safe mode" (using F8 at boot to choose it) and then use Explorer while in "safe mode" to delete it... and hope it can be deleted that way.

There is one program I know of called FileKiller that might be able to delete it for you. I cannot make any promises, but I hope it will do the job if using safe mode does not work.

Hello Emccomb, and welcome to Seven Forums.

In addition, you might see if you may be able to use step 4 in the tutorial below to delete the jpg file from a command prompt at boot. I would also recommend to scan your system with MalwareBytes free to help make sure that your system is malware free.

File - Delete from Command Prompt

    Hope this helps,
    Shawn
