VLC Player problem with "Play All"

VLC Player is my defualt media player. For some reason when i go into my music folders and click on "Play All" Tab, VLC does not carry out my command.

Any help on how to resolve this problem would be very grateful.

maybe try going into default programs and reassigning your music file-types to open with vlc, occasionally i have to reset mine for winamp when i reinstall/update a codec pack

    Hi there
Go to the top level of the music folder you want (probably album)
then from Windows explorer select open with VLC -- should then play all the files in that folder (i.e all the tracks).

    Alternatively open VLC
then select OPEN FOLDER and select the ddirectory / album you want to play.

You might be selecting a playlist which might not contain all the tracks you want to play. I actually never bother with playlists.

    Cheers

i think the op is referring to the play all tab that shows in explorer when a media folder is opened

occasionally this will happen with some of my music folders,
when the play all tab doesn't show, for me i highlight all the tracks and usually the play all tab shows then.
another way round it is to to make a playlist for that album or folder and save it in the same folder .clicking the playlist plays all.

i use mp3tag to generate a winamp playlist file.

i was just thinking the same as koolkat, try using a different player to see if the problem persists ,that way you can rule out vlc being the culprit.
as an experement select an mp3 and choose wmp in open with /default prog, then try opening a music folder and see if the play all works then.
    revert when done.
