Windows 7: Need free m2ts converter

It handles more sites natively and for those it doesn't it can use a sniffer. It doesn't do much in the way of conversion though.

There are a lot of M2TS Converter so you should take more attentions to the professional tool .

To be able to convert the files to another format, they would 1st need to be readable. If VLC is failing to play an m2ts recovered from deletion that originated from a camera, its a pretty fair bet that the files are duds. But thats just my opinion.
