    Ipod to computer music transfer?

I really hope someone can help me; I'm about on wits end.

My laptop's(dell inspiron, windows 7) hardrive recently crashed, and I lost everything. And I'm trying to transfer everything from my ipod touch back to my computer.

I've read about how you can do it, but whenever i plug my ipod in it comes up as a digital camera. And not in 'devices with removable storage'. It's seriously driving me crazy.

Halp please?? Sorry if this is completely vague, but I really have no idea what I'm doing. (hence username)

    Thank you!

I have had good experience with: Pod To Pc

However the free version can only do 10 at a time, and after those 10, you have a 1 minute restriction before you can do it again with the next 10. It will remove the transferred ones so you don't accidentally duplicate. After every 1 minute break, you can transfer 10 as many times as you want. You just need patience .

The Pro version offers no time limit and allows you to transfer them all at once.

    HI,

I have a Brilliant but crafty way of sorting this out and not having to use any program.

    1. Open Ipod in Explorer.
    2. Unhide everything
    3. Search for *.* in Explorer.
    4. Select all and copy too a Folder on Hard drive. Delete all Folders leaving the Music (On HD not IPOD)
    5. In Itunes Point the Library to the Folder.
    6. Again In Itunes, Find and select "Let Itunes manage Library"

    Done.

    Should be fine.

Backup your iPod so if it does fail you can restore and try again.
