Windows 7 - Error while opening mp3 files.

Hello Guys,

When ever I'm trying to open mp3 files on Windows Media Player I'm getting an error message that 'class not registered'. I tried all what can I do but there is no use. There is change even after performing SFC. I followed each and every method told on some old solved threads but the problem is still remain. Even I had replaced some dlls also but it also wasn't worked.

I'm using Windows 7 Ultimate X64. Service Pack 1. ver: 6.1(Build 7601)...

Some one help me please.

Quartz.dll may have not been registered correctly. Do the following procedures to register it:

Start, Type Run, press enter, and enter the following command:

That's unusual, here are other possible solutions

- Run a Registry Scan with CCleaner
- Scan with Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware
- Update Direct X
- Reinstall Windows Media Player 12
- Repair Install of Windows 7

Got a codec package installed? I like to use the Cole2k advanced package.
