Drivers for Altec Lansing ACS595 speakers

Still got my old Altec Lansings from the last millenium. They still sound awesome. I bargained with Dell when I bought my first ever PC and they upgraded the speakers to get the sale. So glad I managed to squeeze that one last deal out of them, these speakers sound great and have served me well over the years

Only trouble is you can't adjust the setting other than manually. It had nice drivers for Win 98 that allowed you to adjust the surround effects and stuff, but couldn't get these for the mac so wondered if anyone had written any drivers for Win 7?

    Hi.

Did you tried to install\run the software\driver in Compatibility Mode?

I will report back but it's not on my list of priorities at the moment + I have to find a new male-male USB cable.

Do I even have this feature on Windows 7 Home Premium? I seem to recall the guy in the shop telling me I had to upgrade to get that feature.. Anyway Steam just prompted me to turn off windows compatibility mode but when I went into settings the box was ticked but it was faded out and I couldn't untick it.. Does that mean I have this feature as standard or not?

Yes your windows has this ability.

If the box is ticked then "normally" is still in compatibility mode.

Though the software\driver that you try to use is very old and may gives problems.
