    Transferring photos...

Hi all... I have a desktop using Windows Vista and a laptop using Windows 7. Is there a simple (or not too difficult) way to transfer photos from one computer to the other. I've found myself using my laptop more than I thought I would and now need the photos stored there on my desktop. Thanks for any help...

As suggested, Easy Transfer is one way, for which you'll need to buy a special cable: Transfer files and settings from another computer

You could also use an external drive. You just copy your files from the Vista computer to the external drive then connect it to your Windows 7 computer and move the images from the external drive.

You can also set up a Workgroup (you can't use a Homegroup with anything other than Windows 7 computers).

I had exactly the same situation and solved it by simply copying all of my desktop photos to a flash drive and pasting them into my laptop. So easy --
no muss, no fuss. You can duplicate the same folders and files as you had on your desktop, or you can create whatever new folders and/or files you want.
