    Stuttering during BluRay playback...all players, not all discs.

    I was wondering if anyone has had this issue. During playback of some BluRay discs, there will be intermittent chop in audio and video. The discs are not damaged or dirty. Obviously, my system is capable of BluRay playback. I have found this problem all over the internet, with the same issue and same presenting. I have not, however, found a resolve.

    I have tried;
    -Multiple players, including Total Media Theater 5, All versions of PowerDVD BluRay edition from 9 on, VLC, and XBMC.
    -Updating firmware for BluRay optical.
    -Booting with minimal running services and programs.
    -Monitoring system usage when it occurs(no spikes).

    Thanks,

    James

    I don't know if it helps, but try installing or updating your codec to the latest. (K-lite, or any other latest free codec available)

    I used to use Shark007's codec packs but found that they actually caused more problems across the board for all media playback. Currently I am using the latest version of Total Media Theater 5.

    I will try K-lite again and see if it still presents.

    Sorry Kevin, I pulled a typical OP move. I have installed the K-Lite pkg. I did not modify any of the "factory" settings upon loading, and so far it appears as though the issue is resolved. There must be a version that is atypical for BluRay that my system was missing the Codec for.

    Hi John. It's OK.
    Glad to know it works. The factory setting might haven't been changed, but it sometimes is disabled or changed during any program installation, or isn't capable enough to do the job that coming with latest multimedia hardware and programs that use advanced codec, but since many codecs are free to distribute then we should never worry.
