Cannot View JPEG Images from my computer

I am having some major headaches trying to view JPEG files from my recent trip to Hawaii. We were using my wifes work laptop (Windows XP) to download the pictures from our camera media cards with the hopes of burning them on our home computer when we got back. I took over 1600 photos and can only access about 400. When i would input my camera media, her computer ask me for a password to protect or prohibit me from stealing her work information off of it. Again thought nothing of it. So when we got home last night i wanted to copy and transfer the files over to our home computer. Nothing, nada zip. A few of the pictures showed up but the majority did not. And its completely random which pictures are showing. I have multiple photo programs that i have tried to open the jpegs but nothing. If I try to open them on her computer again, they work! At this point, I am freaking out because our wedding pictures from our trip are on there. The files show that there is data but will not actually show the photo. I have attached a couple of screen shots from what i am seeing. I am hoping that someone out there has an answer.

Her Company uses Credant Mobile Guardian Shield which encrypts the data for security purposes. I understand the encryption process just do not understand the randomness of what files I can see and cannot. Again I can still see the files on her computer. I have even tried burning the files to CD, that doesnt work either.

Well, Photo Gallery isn't exactly the most competent image viewer in the world.

Can you post just one of the "problem" JPG's here as an attachment, so I can look at it.

I have tried to upload one of the problem files but I receive an error stating it is an invalid photo file. My guess is it has some encryption behind it because of Credant Guardian Shield. I took one of my disc's to Walmart and inserted it into one of their photo machines. My thought was maybe it could read it. It read that there were 155 images on the disc but none could be viewed.

CREDANT’s on-the-fly process encrypts files as they are written to the drive and decrypts files as they are accessed, so data always remains encrypted on the drive and is only decrypted in memory while in use.

try contacting CREDANT technical support--perhaps they can assist you in locating/decrypting/moving your photos...or bite the bullet and ask your wife to get some assistance from her employer.
