I understand that on a Mac transferring can be done easily between an iPod and Mac. However in PC driven iPods the music is saved with a different name (encrypted?) and difficult to find.
But there are a number of shareware programs out there that can accomplish this task on PC driven iPods. One such shareware program that I had used is iPod Music Liberator downloadable from iPod Music Liberator 5.4 - TechSpot Downloads. I understand that there are older free versions in existence but I am not very sure.
Hope this is of help. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Custom Built OS Windows 7 Pro with SP1 32bit Motherboard Intel D845GVS1 X86-based PC Memory 2 gigs of RAM Graphics Card Intel(R) 82845G/GL/GE/PE/GV Graphics Controller Sound Card Realtek AC'97 Audio Monitor(s) Displays Samsung SyncMaster 931BF Black 19" LCD Monitor Screen Resolution 1280X960 Keyboard COMPAQ Standard PS/2 Keyboard Mouse iBall Laser Precise Speedster Hard Drives 1. Well I remember seeing a youtube video saying that it’s because itunes blocked some data when you sync your apple products, so you may try to change some settings to make them unhidden. Unfortunately I don’t have that video right now. but you can google your question “how to transfer photos from iphone to pc” to find that video. Oh and remember to choose "video" tab on the left side to screen the search results, it will help a lot to find the more exact answers.

I'm a bit confused.
Your thread title says that you want to transfer music from your iPod to your computer, but the opening comment says you want to transfer photos from your iPhone to your computer.

Connect iPod to computer, then in the Explorer go to Tools->Folder Options->View, then select "Show hidden files and folders" then close the menu. In Explorer navigate to the iPod->ipod_control->Music. Just copy all the contents of the music folder, all your music files are in there. The files will have incomprehensible names but the ID3 tag will be intact, just reimport into iTunes or use a renaming utility. | My System Specs | | OS Windows 7 Home Premium 32bit |

Transferring files to a new computer using an iPod isn't the easiest thing to do, especially when the old computer is gone. Here are the steps to use to transfer files: Make sure your iPod is set up for disk use. - Go to My Computer and open it.
- Locate your iPod under the list of computer drives.
- Either go to Organize or go to References, depending on the Windows version you use.
- Select the option to Show Hidden Files/Folders.
- Locate and open the folder called iPod_Control.
- Open the Music folder.
- Select all the folders in the list and then choose Copy from the menu.
- Paste the music files in your iTunes folder.
- After the file transfer is complete, just re-install iTunes.
- After your files show up in iTunes, it is safe to sync it to your iPod.

Hi, buddy, it is illegal to transfer ipod music to PC. However, if you still hope to do that, you need a so-called DRM converter. Just google it, you will find your answer. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Microsoft OS Windows 7 |

This seems quite strange. After all, the music on my iPod is from my CDAs ripped to mp3. To say that transferring these mp3s from my iPod to my own PC is illegal is bizarre.
I am quite sure that if some user takes Apple to court, he/she shall win hands down.
