    lost pictures


    Good Morning. my question is how do i get my pictures back and then how do i get them all in the same folder. my pictures at the moment are all in writing instead of pictures. and they are all over the place /some in my pictures/some in pictures /and others in pictures 2.dont ask why i have no idea.can anyone firstly understand this and secondly help me.

    I think I partially understand what you are saying here.
    As to the cause it's my guess you are using several different applications to deal with your pictures and each one is dropping them in a different location.

    What are the file extensions of those weird "pictures" ?
    File extension is represented by the last 3 or 4 letters of the file.
    ex....... .jpg, .png, etc etc etc.

    RE: and they are all over the place
    You will have to do it manually. Not easy way out.
    In your computer there is a Pictures folder, transfer your pictures into that foler.
    You can either use " drag/drop " method, or use the right click context meu Move To option.
    If you do not have Move To option, use this tutorial to install both the Copy To and move To options :
    Context Menu - Add Copy To Folder and Move To Folder

    What are you using to open these files, what is the default open with program.
    It sounds to me as if you seeing code instead of what that code generates.
    Wrongful program association could cause that.

    Have you set the system recovery point before?
    Have you backuped the files in advance?
    If not, it may be getting pretty hard.

    Sorry it as taken so long to get back to you all.but i have been talking to other people .and trying other things. got nowhere. i have also been trying to send a picture of the page i get when i click on my pictures. below you will see attachment,
    png 22, this should be the page. (fingers crossed)
