Windows iTunes home sharing connection problems

Hi to all.

I have been trying to get my PC to connect to my Macs' home shared libraries for weeks now, to no avail.

I have a Mac Pro running Lion, a Mac Mini running Lion and a PC running Windows 7 Ultimate. All three machines are running the latest operating system software and the latest version of iTunes. All machines are authorized under the same account name and home sharing is turned on on all three machines.

The Mac Pro and the PC are connected via cable to my Airport Extreme base station. The Mac Mini is connected wirelessly.

From the Mac Pro, I CAN connect to the Mac Mini's library and the PC's library. From the Mac Mini, I CAN connect to the Mac Pro's library and the PC's library. Everything works fine.

However, from the PC, I CANNOT connect to the libraries on the Macs. I click on the shared library's name next to the home icon in the left panel, I have the 'Loading XX" progress bar come up, and then a little while longer, the progress bar disappears. iTunes then jumps to the Music tab under the LIBRARY section of iTunes.

The libraries on all three machines contain over 18,000 items. It is almost as if the PC times out when the library is too big. The reason I say this is that when I create a new user account on the Mac Pro, and set up an empty default iTunes library, the PC connects to it instantly. I had called Apple support about this issue some time back, and the guy advised me that my library on the Mac Pro might be corrupt. So I started rebuilding it from scratch, adding all my playlists etc. Now the problem has reappeared and I am not going to go to all that trouble again.

I have tried starting iTunes on the PC with Norton 360 disabled on the PC. No luck. I have added the TCP 3689 port and the UDP port 5353 to Norton's network traffic rules but iTunes still fails to connect. I have launched iTunes on the PC in safe mode by holding down the Shift and Control buttons and it still fails to connect to the two libraries. In each case however, connection to the empty library is instant.

Does anyone know of why this is happening? Any suggestions as to what I can try?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
