Random song changes (during playback)

Hello,

I just bought a new Lenovo Y470. I've had it about two weeks and just recently I started noticing something odd. Everything else on the computer works perfect except for one thing. When I'm playing music from my hard drive, if there is more than one song listed in the playlist (specifically when I'm playing only one album), the media player will play a seemingly random amount of the song and then skip to another song.

A couple points about this problem:
-This happens in BOTH iTunes and Windows Media Player.
-Sometimes it plays 20 or 30 seconds at the beginning of the song and then skips, sometimes it plays all the way through the song till about the last minute and then it skips.
-In iTunes it skips to two songs after the song being played.
-In WMP it skips to the very next song.

I have searched around and seen a few people on forums with this problem, and there seems to be no answers. Some even said the problem was also transferred to their iPod.

This is very frustrating because I can't listen to music without it skipping. Any help? Any ideas?

Have you patched iTunes to the latest version?

The same thing happens with me on WMP, but it just skips at half way, try only putting one song in the list than go onto the next.

I believe I have the latest version of iTunes. It also happens to me in WMP. It hasn't happened in the last couple of days, but when it does it's very frustrating. I've found absolutely no answer anywhere online yet.

Hmm... than I do not know what's going on. It might be your computer acting up every now and than... do you hear any muffled noises coming from your computer when you play your music when the song skipping happened?

me having the same problem too, i cannot listen to the full song. help meee!!! this is sooo irritating and frustrating. ive look everywhere for the solution but it seems no hope
