Format Switch CD DVD

Is music cds and also dvds, going to be replaced by streaming downloads this year?
I have seen in my search results, that they will. What about blank cd and dvd? Will
those still be made after this year? Or is it just going to be the official discs?

Hi heatherw and welcome to W7 Forums

Whilst it is true that record companies are now streaming more of their content over the Internet, they still produce the actual CDs and DVDs for people to buy as they recognise that not everyone has online access (or, indeed, wants it). As regards blank media, well they still make and sell blank cassette tapes, so I don't see why not. Interestingly, there has been talk over the past few years of vinyl making a comeback.
