    Cataloguing A Movie

As said in the title, I was in the process of cataloging a movie (Police Court), which I downloaded from Archivie.org:

Police_Court : I.E. Chadwick Productions, Directed by Luis King : Free Download & Streaming : Internet Archive

And it was going routinely, until I noticed that the opening credits said that this was copyrighted in 1951 by Albert Finney Productions, which is odd, because my source, iMDB and everything I Googled said that it was released 2-20-1932. Normally, I don't pay much attention to such discrepancies, but this one is quite large, and I tend to believe the film credits more than other sources, especially when it appears that it hasn't been tampered with.

Another difference is that the film list it as a Albert Finney production, whereas other sources list I.E. Chadwick. Chadwick is listed in the credits, but with no identification of his part in the film.

Where would I check for authoritative info to confirm the right date, or to explain the difference?

edward finney not albert. albert finney was born in 1936.

its possible that edward finney purchased the copyright for the movie at a later date.

Thanks, I sometimes get things turned around, but that still doesn't solve the basic question.

Here is another one just like the first. Same release date, copyright date, even the same producer:

Girl From Calgary : Free Download & Streaming : Internet Archive

How can the release date be 19 years after the copyright date shown in the opening credits?
