Install the latest version of K-Lite, and make sure you also install the 64-bit add-on.

You'll find it on the K-Lite website.

I use it, have done so for years, and it works just fine.

I've set it to use WMP as the default player, and have set it to play 'all files'.

For the odd file WMP won't play, I use the K-Lite player.

klite works OK with its builtin player but I wouldnt use it for WMP or Media Center playback on Windows 7.

I suggest you use the Win7codecs with the 64bit addon
and all your media will play without using any additional players other than those supplied by windows.

yes, 64bit systems need both installations.
I also suggest you take a few moments to read the Setup and usage page.

If you have any other questons, I'll answer them here or on the Shark007 forums.

I've been using it with WMP for about six or seven years, on XP, Vista, 7, and 8, and the
ONLY issue I've ever had is that it doesn't play nicely with SuperC video converter.

**SuperC dies, but K-Lite still works just fine. A switch to TMPGEnc soon solved that**
