Windows Media Player Hotkeys Issue

I'm not sure if I'm posting this in the right forum, so I apologize if I'm not.

I work from home as a transcriptionist and use the WMP Keys plug-in for WMP. It works great, and I have assigned my own F keys for the functions. I have never had a problem with it until I received a two and a half hour audio file today and the rewind key is all screwy all of a sudden. I've checked other audio files that I have and they seem to be working fine.

The problem is when I hit the rewind key, it rewinds and then goes forward again past the point where I even started at. I kept hitting it to see what would happen (if it would eventually go back) and from the 8:00 minute mark, after hitting it several times, I ended up at the 11:00 minute mark, approximately.

Like I said, it works with other audio files, so I can't imagine it would be the audio.

I've tried repairing it, re-installing it (after un-installing it), and re-doing the hotkeys. I'm usually pretty good at figuring this stuff out, even though I don't know all the technical details of everything, and I went to my brother who is a computer engineer, but he doesn't know what the problem is either.

If anyone could help me out ASAP that would be great. This assignment is due on Friday and I need to have it finished by then. Thanks so much!
