    Best free program to convert PAL .AVI to NTSC with burned in EN subs?


    I have an old German tv series (raumpatrouille orion) that on my computer in PAL .avi and .srt subtitles, that I want to burn to DVDs. But for the DVDs to work, they have to be in NTSC format, which Dvdstyler is crashing on. And while I'm at it, can I burn the english subtitles into the movie? I don't speak german so there's no need to have them disabled.

    You could give this a try, it offers a lot of options, and it's free and can make either PAL or NTSC DVD's.

Hello, am looking for a video convertng program to convert avis and burn to dvd. Ive tried convertxtodvd which worked well but have read and experienced crashes. Are there any other programs that work just as well, I found convertxtodvd to be very effecient although have ceased using it. Thanks

I know this issue has probably come up many times before in this forum. I'm looking for a free program to convert my DVR-MS files to another video format like AVI or MPEG.
Please recommend me the simplest program which can convert any kind of video file to avi with the ability to read a subtitle file and either soft-embed it into the avi file or hardsub it into the actual frames. I prefer a native x64 program so that I don't lose processing power. Thanks!
