Recovering deleted pictures (JPEGs)

Hi,

Has anyone any suggestions how recover deleted pictures (JPEG format)? I accidently deleted a folder about a month ago but only just realised.

I though I'd managed to recover the JPEGs but I can't open them.

Any help or advice would be welcome.

Do you have "restore points" prior to the time of deletion? Don't do a system restore!!
Just do a system restore and select "another restore point". just to see the list. Don't start the system restore!

How did you recover them? With software running in Windows 7?
Why didn't you enable system restore points?

Do a full scan on that particular drive with recuva: Download Recuva 1.42.544 - FileHippo.com
See if it gets back any of the pictures.

I've actually used a couple of different file recovery apps from Runtime Software: RecoverMyFiles and GetDataBack. While either can do a good job of file recovery, neither can work miracles. IF the files have been overwritten, partially or completely, there is no software that will restore them.
