how to lengthen sound recording time

I turned on the sound recorder yesterday expecting to come back in an hour or so to see what I had. However it stopped at 7 minutes. Shouldn't it have continued until Istopped it? I have never used the win7 recorder before.

Hello,

My name is Dhiren and I work for the Social Media and Community Team at Dell.

There is no default record time set in the windows sound recorder.
The recording may have been interrupted due to some pop up or an application error.
Please try to record another sample and check if the same issue occurs again.
Also, you may find the below mentioned links of some assistance.
The links provide information on how to use the sound recorder and frequently asked questions which also include information on how to set record time.
