    Combining two video files

    Hello

I am trying to combine two separate video files (not clips) in Windows Live Movie Maker.

I have two separate video tapes from a Sony camcorder which each belong to the same theme (a holiday) and which I would prefer to combine into one complete video file before burning it to DVD.

How do I import one of the downloaded videos into the Contents pane/Storyboard and then the other videotape in to the Contents pane/Storyboard so that as video tape (1) ends video tape (2) begins.

I understand that I need to combine the end frame of video (1) with the initial fram of video (2) so that they are combined and continue as one video file, but when I download video (2) now, it does not appear in the the Contents pane/Storyboard in chronological order; quite the opposite: the frames/clips are all jumbled up and out of sequence.

    Many thanks.

Hi bluenose1, welcome to Seven Forums.
Download Freemake Video Converter 3.0.2.15 - FileHippo.com will do it for you as it burns to a DVD.

    Hello Roderunner

Many thanks for that: I'll try it out. Pity the user has to resort to third-party software, though.

    Cheers

Microsoft were excellent at inventing but needed others to improve them IMHO.
