WMP12 global shortcuts

Just wondering if anyone knows a way to use global shortcuts for WMP12, eg I press Alt+P or some other combination to pause the current playing file.

Thanks,
- Eli

Thanks for the link, Airbot, but I was referring to global shortcuts. Those shortcuts only work when the program is in focus. I want to assign a global shortcut key that will work when I'm in any program. Eg you can press Windows-E from anywhere to open up Explorer.

Hi Eli,

sorry,

I looked into it, you can create a script for it with this program here if you wanted. I installed it, and I made one posted from this link here at the bottom, and some of my own shortcuts and it works. I'm going to check it out more now that's it's got me interested. lol. If you need me to tell you how I did it, let me know.

Greattt, thanks for letting me know about this. I've used AHK in the past for other things, great little program if you are patient and take time to code. Too bad I have to run another program in the background to have it working. WMP12 does have a plugin architecture, guess no one's really working on it...

Yeah, that's the one thing huh. Maybe someone else will come along that knows a more direct way. If I ever find a different way, I'll post it back here. Good luck Eli.
