Camera RAW image resizing. Photoshop V Gimp
I don't know if it's just me...
I work with RAW images when importing certain photos into Photoshop and can normally work with them, resize, change image/canvas size without fearing loss of quality.
After a nightmare with my laptop over the last week or so I am now adding my old programs back one by one. I had to quickly resize and do a touch-up on something and did not yet have Photoshop set up as it was before so I used my partners desktop which has Gimp on it.
After resizing and working on a RAW image it seemed really bad quality, not pixelated as such but all looked good until the resizing thing and once I'd applied the changes it was... well... it did not match my expectations.
Has anyone who works with both programs any experience of this? Or would you consider Gimp to have the edge over Photoshop in any area?
