Are you talking about a video capture program? If so, I like HyperCam. It's the first screen cap program I've used that doesn't need to have hardware acceleration switched off.

Hypercam seems fine - watch out for unwanted toolbar installers along the way.

The output file is pretty big, tho.

Good point about the output file size... my first 2x3 inch 30 minute capture was 2GB!
I had to go and change the encoder to "Mpeg4 Codec Video Compressor V1", and bump up the capture rate to 15fps.
Now a 30 minute capture of a 2x3 inch screen gives me about 200MB.

I don't appear to have that option - are we using the same version?

I find HyperCam a drag to install, (yes! i have tried before!), I must say Hypercam is a good recorder, however, now "betterinstaller.exe" (hypercam installed) is corrupt, thats right! When you dowload HC2SETUP and run the installer as administrator. it just hangs at the "Please wait..." screen. D:

It probably has not much to do with the version, just download the codec, that's it.

    Sorry for the delay!
Yes, I believe we are using the same or very similar version. When I click my dropdown box, I have a wide choice of compressors. I didn't go out of my way to install 'em, either, they're just... there.
