Please forgive any errors, as this is my first time on this forum! I also hope this is in the right spot.
I was scanning some photos using the import function in Windows Live Photo Gallery, and the box on the scan preview page that says 'Preview or scan images as separate files' was enabled. This was creating a new folder for each photo I scanned, and I didn't want that, so I clicked it off. Automatically a folder appeared on my desktop titled 'New Folder' that I couldn't delete, and I wasn't able to move any of my already scanned photos to any other location on my computer, when I tried to, an error message came up, saying something similar to 'libraries not specified'. I'm sorry, I don't remember what it said, as when it happened a second time, I just restarted my computer. When my computer restarted, all of my icons from my desktop were gone, and weren't in the recycle bin. I've been able to re-add the icons to my desktop fine, and the new folder is gone, but I'm just very worried about what happened. It was very unexpected, and I'm concerned it's going to appear again. I haven't attempted to scan again.
If anyone has any advice or suggestions, I'd greatly appreciate it! Again, sorry that I don't have the exact error message that came up.
