    Blu-ray Digital Copies

    Hi Guys

Does anyone have any experience with digital copies and windows media player. I currently have around 40 digital movie copies on an external hdd all activated through windows media player.
Now I know the activation codes can only be used once on one device and from previous experience if I re-install windows the copies will no longer work. So my question is where is the activation data kept. I presume its in the media player files somewhere. Is it possible to copy these out and replace them on a clean install, or will I loose the lot.

No, found out the hard way. If you use WMP to activate your digital copies and re-install windows you loose the lot, there is no way in media player 11 of backing up the DRM rights. Best to use iTunes as they are then stored online with your account.
